Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Current policy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Vokami Android app available on Google Play in supported launch regions, including Saudi Arabia and the United States. This page is practical public information and is not a substitute for legal advice.

Introduction

Vokami (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an audio social application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we may use it, and the choices you may have.

This policy applies to the Vokami mobile app (including app.vokami.mobile on Android) and web experiences we operate.

Information we may collect

Account information

Audio posts and user-generated content

Public visibility of audio posts may be subject to moderation and review. New posts may not appear on public feeds until reviewed, where that workflow applies.

Microphone permission

On Android, Vokami requests the microphone permission only when you choose to record audio for a post. We do not use the microphone in the background. If you deny permission, you may still use other parts of the app where available (such as uploading an audio file, if supported).

Cover images and media

You may optionally add cover images to posts or set a profile avatar using your device’s image picker. Supported formats typically include JPEG, PNG, and WebP. We use these images only to display your content and profile as you intend.

Safety, reports, and moderation

Website and acquisition measurement

When you use Vokami web experiences or follow campaign links, we may process limited information to understand how people reach the app and whether they proceed to Google Play. This may include your selected language, campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, campaign, and content values, an event indicating that the Google Play install button was clicked, and a randomly generated one-time click identifier used to correlate that click with a subsequent app first-open when available.

When a new Android account is successfully created after a measured first-open, we may record a first-party account link so that this authenticated account can be correlated to that first-open (and, when the click identifier matches, to the campaign parameters above) for install-funnel analysis. Authenticated identity is validated server-side to confirm the event is a new signup rather than an existing-account login. The separate signup-conversion telemetry table does not store your Vokami account ID or email address.

Existing in-app product activity that Vokami already stores to operate the service — such as qualified listens and posts you create — may be analyzed in aggregate by acquisition source for users who have such an account link. We do not use this measurement stack to run a Meta SDK, advertising ID / GAID / IDFA collection, a third-party mobile measurement partner, or cross-app tracking.

Our application telemetry for click and first-open measurement does not store your Vokami account ID, email address, advertising ID, cookies, referrer URL, or user-agent. We do not use cookies or local storage for the install-button measurement. Our infrastructure and service providers may separately process technical request metadata, such as IP address or user-agent, as part of hosting, security, delivery, and operational logging.

We use this limited measurement to evaluate acquisition channels, diagnose the install and signup funnel, and improve Vokami and its campaigns.

How we may use information

Backend infrastructure

Vokami uses cloud backend services (including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage) to operate the app. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is controlled by application security rules designed to limit access to authorized users and administrators.

We do not embed private backend credentials in the public app or on these policy pages.

AI authenticity and provenance

Vokami is designed to distinguish original human-created content from AI-generated or AI-assisted content wherever AI features are used. We do not intend for AI-generated or AI-assisted content to be presented as purely human-created without appropriate disclosure.

Some AI-related capabilities may be planned or limited in current releases. When AI features are offered, we plan to label them clearly. Current product behavior may not include all future AI features described in our roadmap.

Data retention

We may retain information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, including where needed for:

When you delete posts, we may soft-delete or remove associated content according to our backend rules. Some records may remain in backups or moderation logs for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data. To exercise rights or ask questions, contact us through the channel on our Support page.

Children

Vokami is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us through our support channel.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other reasonable means where appropriate.
